Ingredients
1 pound string beans
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper or red chili flakes
Directions
Wash string beans and trim off ends.
Heat a large sauté pan and add oil once the pan is warmed. This method helps the oil disperse evenly.
Add string beans and sauté. Put lid on beans so they will steam a bit. Add minced garlic and salt and pepper of your choice.
Sauté and stir occasionally, keep lid on until green beans are at desired doneness about 15 to 20 minutes.
You can also add other vegetables such as mushrooms if you so desire or eggplant it’s entirely up to you.
